Description:

We got a call one day from a guy, said he had an 85 Westy he bought just to take the sink/frig/stove out of, and if we wanted the rest for $500. I said, "sure". What did we have to loose,  figured we could strip it for parts and save a few other Westy's. Well, when it showed up, it was a little dusty, faded, and oxidized, but I thought myself, "You know,  I think this little guy will clean up pretty nicely!" And boy howdy, did it ever!

We picked up this Westy for only five hundred bucks!. Including our mark-up, the price as-is it comes to only $600!  That is all you pay for the VEHICLE ITSELF, and that is all you pay tax and license on. It does not get much cheaper than that.

No, we will not sell it as is...

The body is straight, no rust except a little bit of cosmetic rust in one seam (see close-up photo below). The paint is still nice enough to shine up just fine.

Mechanically it needs everything, it's like a blank page. The price listed includes updating it to all 86-91 systems--so for all intents and purposes, it will be an 86-91 Vanagon when done. The unique thing will be that it is a very cool color-Mexico beige non-metallic- not offered from 86-91 in a full camper. It will be 100% GoWesty safe and reliable, for under $30k.

NO! We will NOT sell it as is...

We polished it up, and threw a set of wheels and bumpers on it so you could see the possibilities. The photos show it with a set of 16" alloy wheels (that is what is included in the price).

NO, NO, NO! Stop asking! We WILL NOT sell it as-is! (did I mention that already?)

FINALLY! Somebody besides ME saw the light!

A super nice couple came down to visit from the Bay Area on a Sunday, drove a late model Eurovan, drove a Vanagon, and generally walked around and kicked tires. Result:

They are VANAGON PEOPLE! And, boy are they ever! They pointed at little #921, and said, "We want that one, done up like PJ's, except BETTER!" YEA! You bet we can!
