This Westy has two very rare features. The first is the VW dealer added, in-dash AC system. Instead of having the cold air come only from the rear, it comes straight out of the outer two fresh air dashboard vents, and out of two additional vents in the center of the dash. An extra benefit is that the rear cabinet over the engine lid area which would normally be used up to accommodate the more common rear only AC remains. The other very unusual feature is the factory seat tracks for an optional added bench seat. These seat tracks were standard on many 85 and 86 models, but practically non existent on later models. The easily removable bench seat makes it possible to safely and comfortably seat six passengers instead the standard four. This Westy comes with detailed service records dating back to 1995, including proof a fresh engine installed at 108,309, and fresh transmission at 137,930. It has also had an extensive interior and exterior GoWesty restoration, as well as the standard GoWesty full maintenance service and any repairs needed. She looks new and is ready for the road!

Bob and family, Central Coast locals, picked up this sweet silver 88 Westy on a Friday afternoon, and drove straight to Big Sur! What a great first trip. Total out the door price was $20,894.74 including tax, license, smog & safety checks, and the following extras: Bilstein shocks, 15" tire and wheel package, new LP tank assembly, three point retracting seat belt for the rear passenger side seating location (a GoWesty exclusive product), second battery with extra 12v outlet and radio and all interior lights re-wired to second battery.
