This little metal spacer sleeve for the radius rod had a tendency to trap moisture and rust out. Not a big deal while they were still available from VW (at $19 a pop) , but when they became obsolete we went out and made our own out of stainless steel. Stainless, what a concept! If you are rebuilding your front end, grab a pair of these, and fuggeddaboudit!
